Tom was born in Chicago and Teresa was born in Peoria. Tom settled in the central Illinois area in 1968, while attending college at Illinois State University. They have been married since September of 1986. Tom has three children and five beautiful grandchildren.

Teresa was raised by wonderful Christian parents, Cleo & Phyllis Smith. The love for God, family and others was always taught and displayed by her parents, followed by honesty and integrity. She loves to be of service to family, friends and others.

They attend and are very active members of Northwoods Community Church in Peoria.

They first met Don Clary at another area funeral home on July 10th, 2003, when Teresa's Dad passed away. Don was in charge of the funeral and they instantly developed a bond with him.

Upon meeting Don, it pecked Teresa's 20-year desire to be a Funeral Assistant. She shared her interest with Don - only to receive great encouragement from him to follow her passion. In March of 2005, she began working with Don at another area funeral home. After only a very few short weeks, she knew without a doubt that she was fulfilling her God given desire. Along with her excitement came Tom's and now they enjoy working together.

Once they found out Don was starting his own funeral home, they had no doubt that they wanted to join him in his endeavor to serve the Peoria Area. They feel it is a privilege and an honor to help serve each of our families during their time of loss.
